Another design for a small shop with a large window – but this time with a much deeper space behind it.
The second store for cashmere label Studio 163 retains the stage-like concept of the first, but reimagines it as a stepped cascade along the length of the space. Instead of perspectival effects, the design relies on clear geometry to create a simple yet intricate composition that serves as a sharp display for the brand’s velvety products.
Practical functions are positioned along the left side of the room: A continuous curved rail for hanging clothes, while a rounded curtain conceals the changing room with soft understatement. In addition, the project includes three movable elements – a glass display, a counter and a cabinet – which adhere to the proportions of the main spatial element, but allow the space to be flexibly arranged.
